JUNIOR RUGBY
Juniors is where things get a little serious. Juniors are for Under 10s-Under 17 boys & girls. Games are still modified for each age-group, so players can safely learn new elements of the sport. Teams are individually graded, and play in the Sydney Junior Rugby competition against other teams in their grade from across metropolitan Sydney.
The game of XV a side rugby and 7s rugby has grown rapidly across rugby. Merrylands juniors offers both XVs & 7s for both girls and boys. Juniors train on Tuesday & Thursday evenings with game days being on a Sunday.
2023 XVS SEASON
U10s 2023
When a whole league team turns up to give Rugby Union a go & are darn good at it! 2023 saw us field our first ever U10s team, and they sure did us proud. A talented young group of boys who quickly went from D grade to A grade and climbing their way to the top playing a Semi Final.
U12s 2023
Our favourite success story! A team that was gradually & organically built, with kids who didn't know each other but all fell in love with Rugby. Our U12s boys & girls played with heart, passion & guts in the 2023 season, and made their way to the Semi Finals.
2023 7S SEASON
SPRING 7S
After absolutely nailing the XVs season, our Under 10s decided to give 7s a go, and they did not disappoint! With few trainings to learn the game of 7s, the under 10s won the Spring 7s 2023 competition undefeated!
